About PEM

We know what it’s like running a business...

  • Trying to develop a Strategy but there is an urgent operational issue...
  • Trying to review Operational Efficiency but there is a sales meeting in 15 minutes...
  • Trying to do some Marketing & Business Development but there is an employee problem...

All these scenarios are common for managers of a small business who spend a considerable amount of time including evenings and weekends working.

PEM know that managers have difficulty finding the time to focus on business planning as they are submerged in day to day management. Most people would like more focus and to have more quality time outside the business. So how do you do this? Talk to us...and have a vision for where you are going and how you are going to get there.

Our Approach

PEM has a very practical approach to providing sound advice and hands on support. The PEM team work with an openness, honesty and total commitment to ensure that client’s get added value. Our fee structure is based on a daily rate and the time it takes to deliver to the clients’ expectations. The time it takes to become familiar with a client’s business needs is not added to our fees. This is all part of our service.

By drawing on over 40 years business expertise and using the tried and tested Pivotal Mapping process that has been developed in-house, PEM’s success has produced results that have put companies in a much better position with a clear direction for growth.

The Pivotal Mapping process is used to identify and prioritise the areas of improvement and put these into action. The positive outputs of the process are ultimately increased profitability as well as owner-managers enjoying an improved work-life balance and at the same seeing their businesses grow because they are more focussed. For example: they have significant growth expectations but have inefficient operational functions and re-structuring issues; they want to open up new markets but have limited sales and marketing resources; they want to plan an exit strategy for retirement but have no successor.
